Angels Forever Up! Southern Maryland’s non-profit Down syndrome awareness and support network is proud to make available $2,000 for summer campers with Down syndrome in honor of Landon Morrill.

To qualify for the 2011 Landon Morrill Summer Camp Scholarship, each applicant must live in Calvert, Charles, or St. Mary’s county, have Down syndrome and have selected a camp to attend this summer. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.

“We are so proud to name our scholarship in memory of our dear, sweet friend Landon, who lost his fierce battle with leukemia in October 2010,” said Ruth Cleaver, president of Angels Forever Up! “Landon is a very special part of our wonderful group, as his mother Colleen started Angels Forever Up! the year Landon was born. By naming this annual scholarship after him, we will keep Landon’s spirit alive and well within us.”

Angels Forever Up! is a non-profit volunteer organization that has been serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families in Southern Maryland since 2004.
